BIG SKY, MONTANA
Nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Big Sky, Montana is a breathtaking alpine destination known for its wide-open spaces, world-class skiing, and rugged Western charm. Originally inhabited by Native American tribes and later settled by ranchers and outdoorsmen, Big Sky’s modern story began in the 1970s as a vision for a mountain resort. Today, it’s home to one of the largest ski resorts in the U.S., with over 5,800 acres of skiable terrain and iconic views of Lone Peak. Expect warm, sunny days and cool mountain evenings. Pack comfortable layers you can easily add or remove throughout the day.

For horseback riding, bring jeans or leggings, closed-toe shoes or boots, a light long-sleeve shirt, and a secure hat. For the outdoor concert, think casual and comfortable—like a sundress or lightweight pants with a jacket for later. Evening dinners outside call for mountain-chic attire with layers to stay warm once the sun sets.

For the pool day, pack a swimsuit, cover-up, sandals, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Don’t forget a light jacket or fleece for mornings and evenings, a refillable water bottle, and a small daypack. A rain shell is optional, but useful just in case.
